We lost two great people this week to other institutions - Randy Mumford and Kevin Lacey. I shall miss them both for they gave much to the students and staff at Tech.
I must thank Randy for his quiet and reasonable take on the building and its' occupants. He always had a positive attitude and a willingness to do what was needed to make the kids AND staff successful. He made a difference for so many of us. He quietly did his "job" of maintaining a special support position for our kids. May his smile always be bright and his words of wisdom be always heard!
Kevin Lacey will always be the leader I wish that I was - kind, gentle, quiet, caring, effective, likeable, and laughing! May he always be available to his staff, students, and colleagues.
Goodbye Randy and Kevin.

A BIG Week Ahead
Well, the core staff now have their laptops and I'm wondering if they know what to do with them. Whaddaya think?
I think that some people took their laptop home and took a tour of the Beast! Some took it home and played with the new software. Some didn't even take it out of the building. A some are praying that it will get up and walk far far away! We still have some laptops to give to the staff. I'm glad that the laptops are here and that they are going to change the way we do business in the classroom!
The next step is to get the staff up to speed using the interactive equipment in their room. The kids will be driving this one to the limit! "Ms. Soandso is using it why aren't you?" Let's see it work! I'll be out and about the building getting staff on board this week. This is the exciting part of the job. I like seeing the staff take on new challenges and move forward!
